FBI Will ‘Help’ Squelch U.S. University Protests against Gaza Genocide

April 24, 2024 (EIRNS)—The Washington establishment may be good at starting wars, but is clueless on how to stop the backlash to its insanity. The list of college campuses with large anti-war protests continues to grow, including NYU, Columbia, UCLA, University of Texas-Austin, Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Vanderbilt in Tennessee, University of Illinois-Urbana, University of Maryland at College Park, etc. The more protesters are being arrested, and the more weapons Biden sends overseas, the more the protests grow.

Led by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR), 26 senators sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Education Secretary Miguel Cardona to demand they intervene “to take action to restore order and protect Jewish students … from pro-terrorist, pro-Hamas, anti-Semitic mobs” on college campuses. The alleged “mobs” that have threatened Jewish students, should be “prosecuted,” his letter demands. Cotton and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) are calling for the National Guard to be deployed. Donald Trump calls the protests a “disgrace” and blames Biden. In an interview with NBC yesterday, FBI Director Christopher Wray reported the FBI is offering help to each college campus affected by protests. Not one of these provided any evidence of terrorism or anti-Semitism by protesters.
