April 11, 2024 (EIRNS)—In an obvious move to sink any chance for a truce, Israeli forces on April 10 killed three sons of Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, and also four of his grandchildren. In response, Hamas official Basem Naim told Al Jazeera that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is undermining any chance of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip by these murders.

According to Naim, Netanyahu is “doing everything to block or undermine any chance of reaching a ceasefire agreement.” Naim said that the Israeli prime minister is currently under pressure from the US, the international community, and the Israeli public, so he is “using all other dirty tricks, killing children, wives or leaders.”
