March 17, 2024 (EIRNS)—Newly-elected British MP George Galloway appeared on Rick Sanchez’s show, “Direct Impact,” on RT on March 14.
In the interview, Sanchez posed a question about how U.S. President Joe Biden is now appearing to “get tough” with Netanyahu in order to boost his own ratings, and asked Galloway to comment. Galloway recommended that people read Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein. “When you make a monster … once you’ve made it, it’s no longer yours. It’s a monster, and can do monstrous things…. That’s what they’ve done with Netanyahu, and people like him … who are armed to the teeth with American weaponry … from American taxpayers.”
Galloway went on to question why the U.S. was willing to build a port for food distribution to Gaza, rather than just order Israel to open the gates and allow the thousands of tons of food aid to be driven in and feed the people. He went on to point out that all of Biden’s so-called “red lines” are being contemptuously violated by Israel.
Galloway compared the situation in Ukraine as a similar “monster”; the government is now acting as if America owes them, instead of acknowledging their debt to the West. “These used to be called ‘client states’, but now the client is telling the boss what to do!,” he said. And, he asked rhetorically, does anyone doubt that Israel is interfering with US elections?
The actual title, Frankenstein; or The Modern Prometheus, should also be understood to be a not-so-subtle attack on the great American scientist and statesman, Benjamin Franklin.
