The League of Arab States Welcomes Moscow’s Mediation With Palestinian Groups

March 3, 2024 (EIRNS)—In the wake of the meeting between various Palestinian factions with leaders hosted by Moscow over Feb. 29—March 2 (reported in the March 2 briefing), the Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States (LAS), Hossam Zaki told Sputnik on the sidelines of the 2024 Antalya Diplomacy Forum, “We have read the final statement of the meeting. This is a good endeavor by Moscow, and we hope that Russia’s efforts will lead to the establishment of mutual understanding between Palestinian factions in the aftermath of the war.”
