On Aug. 22, six B-52 bombers arrived at Royal Air Force Fairford in Gloucestershire, England for a new Bomber Task Force deployment in Europe. What was not reported until yesterday was that the bombers flew from their base in North Dakota around the North Pole region to the Norwegian Sea where they exercised with Royal Norwegian Air Force F-16s and F-35s before continuing on to their destination. This was described by The War Zone’s Joseph Trevithick as a “clear signal” to Russia.
