Gaza’s 2 million people were placed in a 48-hour lockdown yesterday after four people in one household tested positive for novel coronavirus. Under current living conditions, such a seemingly small cluster can tear through the population quickly.
Gaza has had very strict entry and exit controls for the last months, requiring Gazans who return from Israel or Egypt to be isolated in special centers for three weeks. (110 cases and one death have been recorded in the quarantine facilities over that time.)
