HHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs Michael Caputo put out a Twitter message on Aug. 24 displaying how the Washington Post headlines promoted convalescent blood plasma as a treatment breakthrough for COVID-19 for months — until the White House Task Force announced authorization of it — and then trashed it in its pandemic update feature today, online and in print.

Under the tweet at SpoxHHS, he wrote: “Wait @washingtonpost what happened here?” and displayed the daily’s own headlines beginning with “Now”
