Pompeo Launches Witch Hunt against U.S. State Legislators, Local Officials, Americans in General, Who Seek Friendship with China

Joe McCarthy is stalking the U.S. body politic again, in the form of British snake Mike Pompeo. The Secretary of State organized a speech for himself, given before the Wisconsin State Assembly this morning, for the purpose of delivering his message to all U.S. elected state and local officials: If you are a real American—and don’t want to get in trouble with the U.S. Intelligence Community, for which he, himself, said he was speaking—you must be heard repeating that China is our enemy, and help the federal government break all ties with the Chinese government.

China’s President Xi Jinping spoke in August of the importance of “actively develop[ing] cooperation with all countries, regions, and enterprises willing to cooperate with us, including states, localities, and enterprises inside the United States,” Pompeo told the legislators. “As Secretary of State and the former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, let me translate…. He thinks local leaders may be the weak link,” through which to “infiltrate” the United States. Pompeo exclaimed that “Chinese Communist Party influence and espionage campaigns” are not just “targeting state-level officials.… We’ve seen them at PTA meetings!”

His host, state Senator Roger Roth, had rejected out of hand an email suggesting cooperation from a Chinese consulate official in March, Pompeo recounted, to then threaten: “But how many of you might have seen that and thought something different? Or maybe even worked with her? … It’s an uncomfortable set of questions, when we think about what the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is doing through their embassies [sic] here in the United States. But what is happening in Wisconsin … is happening in state houses all across America.”
