U.S. Hunger, Especially for Children, Has ‘Skyrocketed’ during COVID-19

The Census Bureau and the Department of Agriculture have issued statistics which show hunger in the U.S. skyrocketing during the current year. The number of households experiencing hunger has tripled, with 10% of households saying they sometimes or often did not have enough to eat within the past seven days. That figure was 3.7% last year.The number of children who do not have enough to eat is 14 times higher than last year.
