Yesterday, self-imagined King of everything and everyone, Michael Pompeo, issued his dictum through the State Department, countermanding the termination of the United Nations’ JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) arms embargo and sanctions against Iran and those who trade with it. His statement opened with this claim, “On September 19, virtually all UN sanctions on Iran returned,” in contradiction to the overwhelming majority of the UN Security Council and the remaining members of the JCPOA that the United States withdrew from on May 8, 2018, and therefore Pompeo’s declaration that the sanctions must remain is null and void. But Mikey is now trying to bully into submission.
