The Korea Electric Power (Kepco) Research Institute plans to produce hydrogen fuel at nuclear power plants using power-to-gas (P2G) technology. “In the future, there will be a way to produce high-efficiency hydrogen at nuclear power plants using idle power at night,” the official said at the 2020 Green New Deal Expo held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, Oct. 28.
P2G technology produces hydrogen by electrically dissolving water through regenerated electricity. In May, the government selected Kepco for a project to develop P2G technology to produce and store hydrogen.
