The “Caesar” Pompeo approach to foreign policy, while driving the world closer and closer to thermonuclear war, is also increasingly isolating the U.S. from friend and foe alike across the globe. Ironically, this fact simply increases the urgency that President Donald Trump win the upcoming election, preferably by a landslide so as to undermine the Democratic Party effort to create maximum chaos following the election, aimed at escalating the anarchist insurrection already underway in cities across the country — the current stage of the British orchestrated coup attempt against Trump.
Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov told TASS today that “any dramatic changes will hardly take place in the relations between the United States and Russia, whoever would be at the helm in the White House.” That he believes this is understandable, since the Democrats ran the fake “Russiagate” scam in cooperation with MI6 and their assets in the U.S. intelligence community, and rail against Russia and China at every opportunity, while Trump’s State and Defense Departments under Mike Pompeo and Gen. Mark Esper spend every day threatening war on Russia and China, while also threatening countries that maintain relations with Russia and China with sanctions and other forms of economic warfare.
While this appeared to have worked in the cases of Venezuela and Iran, it is now turning most of the world against what could be called the “Pompeo doctrine.” The examples are increasing daily:
• The Vatican today, through the Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, expressed amazement at Pompeo’s effort to interfere in their agreements with China to facilitate contact with the huge Catholic population in China, and rejected Pompeo’s demand to cut all relations.
• Denmark’s government today issued an “operational permit” to the companies building the final stages of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline from Russia to Germany to build within the Danish territorial waters. Pompeo has threatened sanctions on any nation cooperating in the pipeline construction.
• Thirteen of the fifteen members of the UN Security Council, including the closest U.S. “allies” in Europe, have absolutely rejected Pompeo’s so-called “snap-back” of UN sanctions on Iran, declaring the U.S. to have no voice in the matter.
• President Macron today called for the Europeans to open a dialogue with Russia on arms control in light of the dangerous U.S. cancellation of arms control treaties.
• The President of Portugal responded to the U.S. Ambassador’s threat of economic and even strategic “punishment” of the country unless they cancelled ties with China: “It is an obvious question of principle that in Portugal it is the representatives chosen by the Portugese — and they alone — who decide on their destiny.” A senior retired diplomat denounced the Pompeo-style “bullying diplomacy,” calling it an effort to build a “new Iron Curtain made in the U.S.A.”
These are but a few examples. President Trump, who has never stopped insisting that he wants the U.S. and Russia to be friends, despite the virtual war cries from his own cabinet, and who has denounced the Pentagon top brass as front-men for the military-industrial complex, while also demanding the end of their “endless wars,” has tolerated the Pompeo-doctrine thus far, in the context of four years of massive attacks against his presidency from the Democrats, the media and many of the generals, while he fights to win re-election. It is the responsibility of the American people, and friends of peace and development around the world, to give support to his only partially-fulfilled intentions, and to assure that he is free to dump the war party and the war drive after the election.
Consider the alternative. The Democratic Party leadership has openly sworn allegiance to the British Imperial demonization of Russia and China, and openly embraced the violent insurrection on the streets and the racist attacks on the American Constitution and heritage. They despise Trump’s revival of the U.S. space program, his demand to end the regime-change wars, his rejection of the genocidal “climate change” fraud, and his naming of the anarchists burning down our cities and terrorizing the population for what they are — fascists.
The policies formulated by Lyndon LaRouche over these past 50 years are, in part, now on the table due to President Trump. The primary, crucial missing part is the necessity of replacing the totally bankrupt global financial system with a new international Bretton Woods agreement, writing off the quadrillions of dollars in worthless gambling debts, establishing a Glass-Steagall creditary system, and unleashing massive credits in a New Silk Road approach to global development, together with China’s Belt and Road, starting with a “Health Silk Road” to counter the COVID-19 crisis. These next weeks are critical. It is no time to sit on the sidelines.
