WHO’s Tedros Warns ‘the Next Few Months Are Going To Be Very Tough’ on Pandemic Front

The World Health Organization’s Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated on Oct. 23: “We are at a critical juncture in the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in the Northern hemisphere. The next few months are going to be very tough and some countries are on a dangerous track.” In a number of countries there is an exponential jump in infections, “and that is now leading to hospitals and intensive care units running close or above capacity — and we’re still only in October.” He also said that some of the poorest countries only have 5% to 20% of the oxygen needed to treat patients.
