Trump Cleans Out Climate Catastrophe Advocates

President Trump has fired Michael Kuperberg from his position as head of the U.S. Global Change Research Program, where he oversaw the production of the fourth National Climate Assessment, which warned of supposedly grave threats caused by man-made carbon dioxide emissions. Kuperberg was told on Friday night to return to his post at the Department of Energy. That same day, Neil Chatterjee, a carbon pricing and solar advocate, was fired as Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

All this and more, follows the September appointment of Erik Noble, a former White House policy adviser, as chief of staff of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA); Noble promptly removed Craig McLean, the agency’s acting and green chief scientist, and then hired an outspoken critic of exaggerated global warming claims, David Legates.
