It is extremely difficult to survey the leading developments in the world today, putting Asia aside for a moment, and not wonder whether the human race has the moral fitness to survive. The COVID-19 virus, which was essentially contained across Asia through stringent testing, contact tracing, isolation of victims, and excellent public health facilities, is entirely out of control across the rest of the world, with the “holiday season” turning into a lockdown season, and/or a mass spreader season. The central banks of Europe and the U.S. have printed approximately 6 to 7 trillions of dollars, pounds and euros in the past year, almost entirely to buy up increasingly worthless paper from the bankrupt financial institutions, and to prop up the stock markets as the economy tanks. Those same central bankers are planning, and already implementing, a “Green Finance” policy, to cut off credit to productive enterprises internationally, based on the lie of carbon-induced anthropogenic global warming. A famine “of Biblical proportions” is descending on Africa. The United States, the “leader of the free world,” is experiencing a social cataclysm, a failed Presidential election, censorship on a mass scale, and a mobilization for nuclear war — the President’s Special Envoy for Arms Control has declared nuclear war is now winnable, and that the U.S. must rapidly develop and deploy nuclear armed short- and medium-range missiles on the borders of Russia and China. The Secretary of State has unleashed a racist “Yellow Peril” mobilization across the nation to demonize all things Chinese.
It is time for reason to be restored to America and Europe. Starting at 9:00 a.m. New York time on Saturday morning, citizens from around the world will gather (virtually) for two days of deliberation on the crisis of civilization we are living through today, and the measures required for “Creating a World Based on Reason.” The Schiller Institute Conference will hold panels on: restoring the American Republic to its founding principles; establishing a strategic order to prevent World War III; overcoming the world pandemic and famine; and a Beethoven-driven Renaissance of classical culture.
