Danes Ecstatic with New COVID-19 Vaccine, Compare It to a New Moon Landing

COPENHAGEN, Dec. 27 (EIRNS) – The ecstatic response among leading officials and one of the first receivers of the new Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, which was administered to the first Danes today, is that the new COVID-19 vaccine is the manned Moon landing of our time. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen released a short press release including, “This is a Moon landing in this battle against coronavirus. It is simply that.” Director-General of the Danish Medicines Agency Thomas Senderovitz said that this is “the Moon landing of our time.” And 92-year-old Carl-Einar Jørgensen, whose mother survived the Spanish flu, and he survived a shootout as a Resistance fighter against the Nazi occupation, told the press yesterday, the day before he would become one of the first Danes to be inoculated in his nursing home, “This is almost like a Moon landing, and if I can take the first step on the Moon, that’s cool.”
