Germany To Live with a 35% Lower Power Supply after 2022?

Alarming news from RWE, one of Germany’s leading power generating companies: CEO Martin Schmitz told Die Welt in an interview today that, with Germany’s nuclear exit and now also the exit from coal, the company will have 36% less power output at the end of 2022 than in 2019. “RWE still had 20.8 GW production in 2019; [by the] end of 2022 it will be down to 13.3 GW — this even with the increased capacities in renewable energies.“
