Continuing her accurate sharpshooting at Wall Street and the “Biden team,” U.S. Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is fighting to have the U.S. Senate reject Neera Tanden, Biden’s pick for the central position of Director of the U.S. Office of Management and the Budget (OMB). Gabbard wrote in a Twitter post today, “Neera Tanden’s ‘think tank’ took millions from WallStreet, UAE, & defense contractors. She advocated taking Libya’s oil to pay for bombs we destroyed their country with. At OMB she’ll support more costly regime change wars & military industrial complex. Senators, I urge a NO vote.”
Tanden, a former adviser to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, has been president and chief executive officer of the Center for American Progress since 2011. Those who oppose her nomination point to millions of dollars her think-tank has taken from controversial donors such as the United Arab Emirates, which has an abysmal human rights rating, Fox News reported. Between 2014-2018, CAP received between $1.5 and $3 million from the U.A.E., according to a report from the Center for International Policy. Worse, Tanden has been up to the present, one of the most fanatic promoters among Democrats of the long since-debunked Steele dossier, the disgraceful and disgraced British intelligence hack-job against President Donald Trump.
