Africa's COVID Fatality Rate Suddenly Jumps Above Global Average

While cases across the continent decreased by nearly 7% last week, deaths increased by 10%, raising Africa’s fatality rate to 2.5%, higher than the global level of 2.2%, according to Africa CDC data. Now 21 countries have death rates higher than 3%.
