In an interview published Jan. 21, former FBI Director James Comey said the Republican Party must be “burned to the ground” before it can rebuild following President Trump’s administration.
Comey told Australian ABC television news program “7.30” that the GOP “doesn’t stand for anything that is valuable to our country. It doesn’t stand for anything, that is other than a cult of personality around a man who is a demagogue and a liar.”
“It’s deeply unhealthy when the head of government is a sociopath, to be honest, and that shapes, unfortunately, millions of people in a harmful way.”
“The Republican Party has to be burned to the ground, in some form or fashion,” Comey said, according to ABC’s website.
