In an open letter to U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), retired Virginia State Sen. Richard Black excoriates the “vindictive impeachment proceedings against former President Donald Trump,” writing that “The House impeached the President without affording him a shred of due process ... for the sole purpose of allowing Democrats to claim that he had been ‘impeached.’”
The Democrats “are rushing to impose censorship and terminate the livelihoods of political opponents. Democrats are working feverishly to curtail freedom of speech, press, assembly, and religion,” he continued.
“They are compiling enemies lists from among the 75 million Americans who voted to reelect President Trump. Their contempt for liberty and the rule of law ... frightens Americans, and it should concern you.”
