Rand Paul: If Senate Republicans Vote Up Impeachment, GOP Will Implode

Senator Rand Paul told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham, that while he did not vote to decertify the Electoral College slates, no Republican Senator should go along with convicting Donald Trump in the planned impeachment trial, because that will be the end of their party. “The impeachment is a wrongheaded, partisan notion. If Republicans go along with it, it will destroy the party. A third of the Republicans will leave the party,” he told Ingraham last Friday.
