Biden: Iran Must Return to Compliance with Nuclear Deal First

President Joe Biden told CBS News during an interview Feb. 7 that the United States won’t lift sanctions until Iran comes back into compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). “Will the U.S. lift sanctions first in order to get Iran back to the negotiating table?” CBS reporter Nora O’Donnell asked him. “No,” Biden replied. “They have to stop enriching uranium first?” O’Donnell asked. Mr. Biden nodded affirmatively, according to the CBS report.
