Is a Counterinsurgency Campaign Already Underway Inside US Military?

There are signs that the kind of counterinsurgency campaign against the American people advocated by former CIA officer Robert Grenier is already underway within the U.S. military. Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters on Wednesday that Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has ordered a DOD-wide stand down to discuss the problem of “extremism” in the ranks. He reported that Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley met with service civilian leaders and service chiefs to discuss the problem of extremism. Austin said in the meeting with military leaders that while the numbers may be small, they are not as small as anyone would like. “No matter what it is, it is … not an insignificant problem and has to be addressed,” Kirby said. Kirby acknowledged that there are many questions still to be answered, including what exactly constitutes “extremist” activity, but they’re pressing ahead anyway.

A report on military.com makes clear that military members are already being punished for social media posts that show support for Donald Trump and/or question the official narrative about the 2020 election. At the center of these disciplinary cases is the assertion that “No evidence has been produced of widespread election fraud, and more than a dozen court cases seeking to overturn election results were dismissed in the months following the election.”
