Russia Expels Foreign Diplomats Who Participated in Pro-Navalny Demonstrations

The Russian Foreign Ministry said Feb. 5 it had decided to expel Swedish, German and Polish diplomats who participated in illegal actions—specifically, protest rallies in support of jailed opposition leader and British intelligence darling Alexey Navalny. The ambassador of Sweden, the chargé d’affaires of Poland and the German envoy were all told to leave the country as soon as possible.
