Texas Governor Abbott Slams Green New Deal As ‘Deadly’; AOC, MediaTake Umbrage

Interviewed on Fox News’ “Hannity” show last night, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott warned that the Green New Deal will have “deadly” consequences for the state, given the disaster it is experiencing now because of reliance on renewables, such as wind and solar. “This shows how the Green New Deal would be a deadly deal for the United States of America,” he said. “Texas is blessed with multiple sources of energy such as natural gas and nuclear, as well as solar and wind,” the governor said. “Our wind and our solar got shut down and they were collectively more than 10% of our power grid. And that thrust Texas into this situation” where it is lacking power statewide.
