China’s U.S. Coal Imports Jump 748% in Q4 2020

S&P Global Market Intelligence reported China had the highest gain in coal imports from America in the fourth quarter of 2020, importing 1.0 million tons, a 251.8% increase year over year and a 748.2% jump quarter over quarter. This was largely caused by China’s boycott of Australian coal, amid growing trade war disputes.
