At a press conference marking the end of the “two sessions” meeting, China’s Chinese Premier Li Keqiang commented on US-China Relations.
When asked about China’s policy towards the United States, Li said China hopes to build on the Xi-Biden phone call earlier this year and push for bilateral ties based on principles of mutual respect and non-interference. “Healthy development of US-China ties is in the interests of people in both countries and what the international community wishes to see,” he says.
