On March 4, NASA’s Mars rover Perseverance made its first foray off its landing spot, driving for about 33 minutes and going about 13 feet. A series of still photographs taken by the rover shows it turning its six wheels, in proper sequence, in a kind of pirouette about its center of gravity. Perseverance passed its mobility tests with flying colors.
