The second day of the March 20-21, 2021 Schiller Institute conference “The World at a Crossroads: Two Months into the New U.S. Administration” brought together political leaders, diplomats, scholars, physicians, and farmers to discuss two topics of profound and growing importance:
• the contradiction between a viewpoint of regions of the world considered to be geopolitical hotspots and the new view of their potential for development under a new paradigm, and
• the top-down perspective for agriculture, food, and health security, in light of the reality of famine and the Covid-19 pandemic.
The discussions shone a light on the universality of the goals of the human species, and of the possibility of achieving a far better paradigm for future human relations, as the oligarchical past of mankind is swept away.
