Track Two Conference Tries To Build on Opening in U.S.-China Anchorage Summit

The annual three-day China Development Forum, organized by the Development Research Center of the State Council, brought together American and Chinese scholars and business leaders for a virtually discussion of the development of U.S.-China relations under the title “China on a New Journey of Modernization". U.S. speakers included Henry Kissinger, Joseph Stiglitz, David Rubinstein and others. There was also an exchange between Elon Musk, a popular figure in China, where he produces and sells a lot of Teslas, and Chinese academician, Xue Qikun on the next phase of technological development.. On the Chinese side were Han Zheng, a member of the Political Bureau and a close adviser to Xi Jinping, and Fu Ying, former vice foreign minister, longtime diplomat, she now chairs the Center for International Strategy and Security at Tsinghua University.
