Russia Blasts Kiev for Trying to Sabotage Minsk Agreements

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, during her weekly press briefing on April 9, denounced as “hypothetical stupidity” recent statements by officials of the Kiev regime that they would refuse to participate in face-to-face meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbas if they’re held in Minsk. On April 6, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, announced that the Kiev regime would not be sending its representatives back to Minsk to participate in the Minsk Contact Group discussions after the COVID-19 quarantine is over. “We explained that the Ukrainian delegation will not send its members to Minsk. We will still have to look for another country, another place to conduct it in real life,” he said. Leonid Kravchuk, the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the contact group, issued a similar statement the following day.
