WHO: Inept Governmental Actions in Europe Are Prolonging the Pandemic

The combination of a top-heavy bureaucracy and a too-thin manufacturing capability has turned Europe into a health hazard for the world. Hans Kruge, the World Health Organization’s director for Europe, called the “unacceptably slow” vaccine rollout a factor in “prolonging the pandemic.... Let me be clear: We must speed up the process by ramping up manufacturing, reducing barriers to administering vaccines, and using every single vial we have in stock, now.” The European Union’s bureaucracy, in particular, has proven to be allergic to increasing production, and much better at erecting barriers against the Russian and Chinese vaccines. It would seem that the call for using every single vial refers to the AstraZeneca doses that are being kept from usage presently.
