Will the IMF Become the ‘Umpire’ for Climate Change?

Statements by an IMF representative involved in the climate-change policy of the IMF, speaking to CGTN, described such an “umpire” role for the IMF. The representative observed that one pound of coal today costs around $2. And the goal is to have it priced at $75 dollars in 10 years, and even higher as a means of forcing governments to meet the Paris Agreement deadlines. While the IMF has (as yet) no power to enforce these measures, it can keep a running score of countries, to use a “shame factor” to convince countries to join the murderous agenda. No doubt the next step will be giving the IMF the ability to impose sanctions on “violators.”
