By today, Gaza officials report that at least 227 Palestinians had been killed, 64 of them children, according to Al-Monitor. According to Israeli authorities, at least 12 Israelis have been killed by Hamas rockets, 2 of those being children.
And for those still living in the apartheid state? The power supply to Gaza had been cut by more than half by May 18, with 6 of 10 power lines destroyed by Israeli strikes. Israeli Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen, however, told Israel’s Channel 20 yesterday that he planned to propose to the Cabinet that “the next thing we should do … is to shut off electricity in Gaza” altogether, according to the New York Post. Cohen added, “There was no discussion about a ceasefire in the Cabinet.”
