Spring Break in Florida Causes Variant Strains on the Rise

The Florida Department of Health confirmed that the COVID-19 cases arising from variant strains increased greatly during the recent spring break in Florida. They are only sampling 1% of the cases, but they were able to detect 753 such cases on March 14; 5,177 on April 15; 9,248 on April 27; and finally 11,800 on May 5. Most of them are the Kent, England strain, but some are from Brazil and South Africa. (While the actual number of such cases are massively understated, the relative rise is properly indicated.)
