June 7 (EIRNS—An article in The Hill reports data released today by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), which shows carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere at a 60-year record high (420 parts/million and more) in May 2021 after a pandemic year of dramatically reduced CO2 emissions from industrial activity. There was “no discernible signal in the data” from the industrial shutdowns, said NOAA.
