Ryabkov Affirms that Strategic Stability Talks Will Begin Soon

June 17, 2021 EIRNS)—Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, in an interview with Kommersant newspaper published on June 16 said strategic talks will now begin soon. “We will now have to determine these dates. However, everything points to the fact that it’s an issue of weeks and not months,” he said. He also said, as per the agreement at the summit, that the two countries’ respective ambassadors will return to their posts and that Russia’s ambassador to the U.S. Anatoly Antonov would return to Washington by the end of the month.
