Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with Frankfurter Allegmeine Zeitung, demanded that Berlin provide more weaponry to Ukraine. “We are really grateful for what we have,” he said, reported the 112 Channel news site. “However, I know that Germany can do more.” Referring to Robert Habeck, leader of Alliance '90/The Greens who visited Kiev last week, Zelensky went on: “Habeck understood me. He understood that the Nord Stream 2 is only a weapon and it is very sharp. He also understands that Ukraine does not have a fleet. Our coasts are unprotected. We need lethal arms. Germany did not provide us any military aid but it could,” he said. Zelensky expressed particular interest in German military vessels, assault weapons and communications gear.
