Speaking to reporters at the White House before boarding Marine One late yesterday afternoon, President Joe Biden said he is hopeful following the first round of Russian-American strategic stability talks that took place earlier this week in Geneva. Asked by a TASS correspondent to clarify whether he is satisfied with the way the first round went, Biden said, “We are in the process and I am hopeful,” while raising his right thumb. He refrained from further comments on the topic.
