Italian Net Zero Minister Argues That ‘Green Transition Could Be a Bloodbath’ for Consumers

The Italian Minister for Ecological Transition Roberto Cingolani said that the so-called green transition “could be a bloodbath” for consumers, because it will inevitably increase their electricity bills, in an interview with Sky TG24. “To change our system and reduce its environmental impact, we must make radical changes which have a price. Consequently, we should have a high price for CO2, with consequences for instance on the electric bill,” Cingolani said.
