President Joe Biden’s Special Envoy for Climate Change John Kerry finished a three-day visit to Moscow. The visit was concluded with a joint statement committing Russia and U.S. to the implementation of the Paris Accord and to cooperation on global climate change, written by Kerry and Russian Special Presidential Representative for Climate Ruslan Edelgeriyev.
“[Edelgeriyev and Kerry] are committed to the robust implementation of the Paris Agreement and its temperature goals, including through significant efforts in this decade and the global pursuit of net-zero emissions,” says the statement, published on the State Department website.
