The Berlin daily Tagesspiegel has targeted Michele Geraci, among others, as alleged “cleaners” on behalf of the Chinese government on the Xinjiang issue. The author is Mareike Ohlberg, a hitman of the German Marshall Fund who, in the past, has slandered Helga Zepp-LaRouche and the Schiller Institute. The attack against Geraci comes in the aftermath of the successful webinar on Xinjiang held by the Brix organization in Sweden, in which Geraci spoke.
“The former Italian State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Michele Geraci, also recently visited Xinjiang. From there he assured the Italian media that nothing was happening in Xinjiang differently from the rest of China. Anyone who has ever tried to tour the region without a government guide knows that this is not true.”
