On Friday, July 23 the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Dr. Rochelle Walensky declared that: “This is becoming a pandemic of the unvaccinated.” Over 97% of COVID hospitalizations are the unvaccinated. (Fauci had reported earlier that 99.2% of COVID deaths in the U.S. now are the unvaccinated.) On July 22, Jeff Zients, the White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator, had singled out Florida, Texas and Missouri as accounting for over 40% of new cases, with Florida representing half of that. There are reports of some new-found religion, as vaccinations are picking up in hard-hit states such as Florida, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana and Nevada.

Axios reports that the (Republican) Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama, told reporters yesterday that “it’s time to start blaming the unvaccinated folks, not the regular folks” for the continuing growth in cases. “The new cases of COVID are because of unvaccinated folks.”

“Almost 100% of the new hospitalizations are with unvaccinated folks. And the deaths are certainly occurring with the unvaccinated folks. These folks are choosing a horrible lifestyle of self-inflicted pain,” she continued. “It’s the unvaccinated folks that are letting us down. I’ve done all I know how to do. I can encourage you to do something but I can’t make you take care of yourself.”
