U.S. Blacklists Six More Russian Companies, 23 More Chinese

In a binge of insane hubris, and despite President Biden’s stated intention to “normalize” relations with Russia, the U.S. Department of Commerce yesterday blacklisted six Russian individuals and legal entities for “their attempts to procure items, including U.S.-origin items, for activities contrary to the national security and foreign policy interests of the United States.” At the same time, they added another 23 Chinese companies to its trade blacklist.

Those Russians blacklisted included OOO Teson, the Radiant Group of Companies, and OOO Trade-Component who are allegedly “involved in the procurement of U.S.-origin electronic components likely (!) in furtherance of Russian military programs.”
