U.S.-Russia Diplomatic Contacts Begin in Certain Areas

John Kerry, Biden’s climate envoy, spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov by phone on July 1, on the topic of (you guessed it) climate change. Also on the same day Ambassador to Moscow John Sullivan had positive discussions with Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov on continuing cooperation.
