Russia: a Mechanism Established for US/Russia Cooperation on Security

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on Thursday on Russia-US collaboration on security problems in Afghanistan: “These contacts emerge as the need arises, but the mechanism of contacts has been established. Certainly, the situation requires an exchange of opinions and information, so, of course, with a great degree of probability, these contacts will surely continue.” Evidently, it is progress that both sides should be talking with each other as a regular feature.
