Channel News Asia reported on Oct. 21 that India’s Serum Institute is producing up to 240 million AstraZeneca COVID shots/month and is prepared to export “large volumes” starting in January. India has just resumed exports for the first time since April, having now administered 1 billion doses to its own population. About half of India’s 1.4 billion people have gotten at least one shot, and roughly 300 million of them are fully vaccinated.
