Putin on Man-Made Energy Crisis and the USA Undermining the Dollar

Speaking yesterday at the plenary session of the Moscow Energy Week and in a follow-up interview with CNBC, Putin addressed again the stupidity of the Green Transition, said Russia is ready to help Europe with gas supplies, and said the US is undermining its own currency with sanctions and debt policy.

“What is happening today in the energy markets of Europe is, to a certain extent, a man-made result of short-sighted policy. But these are their problems. We are ready to participate in preventing such problems. We just need, I repeat, an honest and open dialogue,” he said at the plenary session according to TASS.

Putin noted that Russia has not stopped working with European partners. “And it seems to me that there is an understanding that this frank, transparent dialogue needs to be established, but we will see how this will happen in reality,” Putin said.

According to Eurobserver, Putin ridiculed allegations that Russia was withholding gas to manipulate prices. “We will increase [supplies] by as much as our partners ask us. There is no refusal, none,” Talk of manipulation was “complete rubbish ... and politically motivated tittle-tattle,” he added. Putin also called for “a long-term mechanism to stabilize the energy market” in Europe, without giving details.
