According to a Washington Post front-page story Saturday, its reporter was told that during a discussion with senior aides prior to leaving for Europe, President Joe Biden said of the COP26 summit, “It’s bullshit.” Then he left to go step in it.
In fact, Biden took with him, to this “bullshit” meeting: Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, USAID Administrator Samantha Power, NOAA Administrator Rick Spinrad, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Eric Lander, EPA Administrator Michael Regan, climate advisers John Kerry and Gina McCarthy, and a reported fleet of 80 limousines.
